We are looking for as soon as possible for a Principal Data Scientist, as additional support for our outstanding Development Team in Switzerland/ Zürich (remote).
In this very interesting role, you will be able to actively shape our product and integrate your ideas and thereby contribute to the success of Luware. As a Principal Data Scientist in the Luware Nimbus Application team, you will work with business and AI leaders as well as internal business users and Partners to understand, explore and develop AI/ML solutions to solve their business needs.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
  • Hands on coding experience in an object-oriented language (such as C#)
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Multi-year technical experience working with relational databases and query languages
  • Previous experience managing software DevOps (especially ADO pipelines), building infrastructure using Microsoft Azure technology like Service Fabric, App Service, Docker
  • Experience with Azure ecosystem including cross tenants and highly restricted environments, as well as developing scalable processing using Spark especially in Azure will be considered strong assets
  • Experience complying with data governance and compliance standards such as GDPR or HIPAA within restricted environments
  • Experience developing and deploying dashboards (especially in Power BI)
  • Experience with design and implementation of enterprise-scale services
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and supporting code in object-oriented languages and database querying languages.
  • Experience in developing and debugging product and test code within a micro-services architecture

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deploy and monitor scalable data pipelines that ingest and process data from multi-tenant production environments to research environments using C#/Spark/Synapse
  • Develop, deploy and monitor data enrichment workflows including dataset creation, cataloging and reporting
  • Develop and deploy tooling that ensures compliance with data governance and life cycle management requirements and best practices
  • Detect, monitor, and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with other teams
  • Implement tools and data architecture improvements that increase data usability and quality.
  • Focus on particular aspects of our product, developing extensive knowledge in the domain and technical framework, notably in Large Language Models (LLM), and play a role in advancing product development through ongoing awareness of industry trends and technologies
  • Assess business needs and integrate research to achieve business objectives
  • Your role involves guiding the selection of data to address issues strategically, leveraging your expertise to design, measure and build AI applications to drive tangible business results.
  • You’ll be involved in the onboarding process for new team members early in their careers, providing guidance and support as they join the team, and also assisting in coaching and mentoring other team members
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive team culture, offering technical guidance to fellow team members and serving as a mentor
