JOB SUMMARY:

The Principal Economic Regulatory Advisor for ATCO’s gas distribution network plays a crucial role in upholding ATCO’s unwavering commitment to compliance with economic regulatory requirements. This commitment forms the cornerstone of our business strategies, guided by rigorous analysis and monitoring of policies and market trends in the regulatory environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain economic and financial models to support reporting requirements, regulatory submissions, and company strategies.
  • Conduct detailed economic and financial analysis to support regulatory submissions and compliance reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory documents and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements is maintained.
  • Contribute to strategy development by providing analysis, advice, and recommendations related to the Access Arrangement to leverage market opportunities and minimise company risk.
  • Help develop and implement cost of supply, revenue building block, and tariff models for forecasting regulated gas haulage tariffs and ancillary revenue.
  • Integrate models with metering and billing systems and support the development of alternative pricing strategies.
  • Undertake detailed analysis and advise on regulatory tariffs related to the Access Arrangement.
  • Reviewing and providing regulatory advice on business cases.
  • Prepare tariff variation submissions in accordance with price paths and provide expertise in the calculation of non-reference tariffs.
