Summary: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems, including PCB layouts and controls for motors, sensors, machine vision, and AI-driven object recognition systems. In this role, you will drive process improvements, set engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align electrical engineering practices with broader project objectives and stay ahead of emerging technologies to foster innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement processes and standards to improve the efficiency and quality of the electrical engineering department
- Lead the design and development of PCB layouts and electrical systems, to control Motors, Panels, Sensors, Maschine Vision and AI Systems for Object Recognition while ensuring adherence to industry best practices
- Oversee the testing and validation of electrical systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Release Engineering BOMs and Individual component Specifications for production of your designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering practices with overall project goals and objectives
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
- Conduct reviews of designs and processes, providing constructive feedback and ensuring compliance with established standards
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation in electrical engineering practices
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders, including management and clients
