Job Description

As a Principal Electrical Engineer in Building Services within our MEP team, you will lead high-profile projects, ensure technical excellence, and maintain strong client relationships. You will provide strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and drive the successful delivery of complex MEP projects.

• Lead and oversee Electrical side of portfolio from inception to completion, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, and adherence to project timelines.
• Develop and maintain strong, productive client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for major projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive technical and quality reviews of projects, identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Undertake site visits as required to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support project operations.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and development of the MEP division, including identifying new business opportunities and improving technical processes.
• Support the preparation of technical and bid proposals, ensuring competitive and comprehensive submissions.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring optimal utilization and financial performance. Provide regular reports on project status, technical performance, and team development to senior management.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the MEP team, staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or related engineering field

• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Electrical building services, with a proven track record of leading complex projects
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
• Excellent client relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets and resources.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and lead large-scale projects.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
