We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our team based in London to help support our teams building amazing digital products for LEGO shoppers, consumers and colleagues around the world.

Responsibilities:

  • Influencing and problem solving to help product teams and engineering leadership to craft a connected, seamless, personalised ecosystem through an interconnected set products, services and platforms.
  • Evangelising, designing and building an API economy for our products and external users, in an agile way that ensures loose coupling but with tight alignment.
  • Helping product teams to retire legacy technology solutions and ensuring we unpick the technology tangle that is left behind.
  • Supporting the technical roadmap across product teams and helping to secure consistent technology solution design and component or service re-use.
  • Providing technical leadership through advocacy and coaching across product domains to ensure delivery of exceptional technical solutions.
  • Building prototypes and creating examples by being at the front of proof of concepts and innovations, able to influence from a position of knowledge and experience as a software engineer.
  • Contributing cross-functionally, pairing with engineers at all levels to support their learning to co-develop great outcomes.
  • Active contributor and participant to the cluster leadership team and accountability for indirect leadership of the organisation with peers.
