As part of this journey, we are scaling our platforms team. This team builds intelligent, resilient, and private solutions from the cloud to the far-edge, ensuring robust and secure operations for our clients. We currently work across cloud (Azure, AWS) and mobile (AOSP ROM) platforms hosting managed applications.

KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND BEHAVIOURS

We are looking for someone passionate about technology who actively invests in their technical skills and abilities. You are already leading, but still heavily involved in technical solution implementation, and want to take your next step shaping the technical capabilities of a new business unit within a fast growing SME. We are looking for a person with:

• Extensive Technical Experience: You have thorough experience in designing and developing complex distributed systems, and can demonstrate significant contribution to large-scale projects as an architect or key individual contributor.
• Deep Technical Expertise across Cloud, Android and Hosted Applications: You’re experienced in building on and in private, hybrid and public cloud environments, including IaC languages (e.g. Terraform), containerisation (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and programming languages (e.g. Python, Go). For Android, strong understanding of AOSP, custom ROMs and drivers, including languages: Kotlin, Java, C, C++.
• Holistic Service Implementation and Delivery Track Record: You excel at implementing and delivering comprehensive secure service and support solutions, integrating various platforms and ensuring seamless operation: from initial ideation to deployment and support.
• Assurance and Accreditation Experience: You possess a strong background in cybersecurity and information security practices, accreditation, and continuous assurance.
• Decision-Making Leadership: You’ve led software and infrastructure evaluation and decision-making processes, ensuring the best appropriate technical choices are made for your organisation.
• Strategic Roadmap Development: You’ve successfully crafted or contributed to multi-year engineering roadmaps that align with product strategies and business goals.

Highly Desirable Experience:

• Experience in regulated sectors delivering complex networked systems, such as defence, national security, telecommunications, financial services, or automotive industries.
