As a result of the previous postholder leaving the organisation, we are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative finance professional to join the Regeneration and Environment Finance Team. The role will provide finance business partnering support to stakeholders in the Regeneration and Environment and Property Services and to Finance team members.
The role is a varied one. It includes support to income generating services, as well as revenue services that are supporting capital projects. You will be working closely with the Service on budget monitoring, budget setting and closedown activities, as well as providing financial support to ensure that officers comply with the Council’s FPPR requirements.
A proven track record of understanding and presenting complex financial information to managers and staff is essential. You will have substantial experience of working in a finance or audit role including operating or auditing computerised or manual financial systems.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
