REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters Degree or an equivalent combination of education (Bachelors Degree) and work experience
  • Minumum of 10 yrs. related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of Global Clinical Operations Plan, LBE, and Month end processes including creation and distribution of planning assumptions for all GCO groups worldwide. This requires extensive interface and coordination within the division, interacting directly with key local accounting groups and global clinical staff and leaders.
  • Ensures completeness and accuracy of the financial plans.
  • Analyzes and prepares presentations of financial materials for meetings with the functional GCO leaders.
  • Responsible for the month end close tasks including accruals for ongoing expenses as incurred and headcount maintenance for various cost centers in many geographies throughout Europe, Asia Pacific and Japan.
  • The Principal level Financial Analyst executes many of the same activities as the Sr level. In addition, the Principal level will also typically possess well developed knowledge and skills to interpret financial information on costs, prices, expenses and headcount and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects.
  • Develop analysis of economic indicators in order to prepare forecasts and analyze the company’s short, medium, and long term position
  • Prepare in-depth evaluations of plans and identify new methods of analysis and presentation.
  • Responds to ad hoc financial requests.
  • Key contributor to the financial planning processes.
  • Results from the incumbent’s work are submitted directly to leveraged services finance leadership to be used in consolidating the total Abbott leveraged services financial plans.
  • May coach, advise, or train less-experienced financial analysis staf
