ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates with the ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative, as well as supporting the wider team, and with excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling collaboration with colleagues located in multiple geographies, and to liaise directly with suppliers and clients.

  • Bachelor or Master in Instrumentation or equivalent, with relevant experience in an engineering design or operating organisation, preferably within the Process Industry
  • Working knowledge of Smart Instrumentation & Smart3D.
  • Experience in design for Telecoms and Fire & Gas would be an advantage
  • The ability to undertake international travel for inspection, construction contractor supervision or commissioning.
  • High level of practical engineering knowledge to develop cost effective designs. Relevant practical site experience, whilst not essential, would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and documentation of instrument design strategies.
  • 3D modelling of equipment using Smart3D & attending Model reviews.
  • Generating deliverables such as…
  • Instrument Index,
  • Instrument Location Layouts,
  • Cable Schedules,
  • Wiring Diagrams/ Schematics,
  • Instrument Hook-Ups,
  • Instrument Power Distribution,
  • Material Take Offs / Bill of Quantities,
  • Control Room and Analyzer Room Layouts,
  • Cable Routing Layouts
  • Carrying out detailed design of Analyser panels, DCS and Hardwired trip panels
  • Ensuring compliance with company or project standards and specifications.
  • Reviewing and interpreting vendor documents.
  • Interfacing with other disciplines to co-ordinate design
  • Occasional travel to sites across Europe & Middle East to support Construction, as well as travel to Global Engineering & Design offices in India for project collaboration and support
