Description:
Bouygues Energies & Services is recruiting a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to work in a design team, delivering technical services at bid, design, installation and commissioning phases.
The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will lead high profile projects and mentor more junior engineers. This is a hands-on role which will focus on the delivery and management of design and technical support services to data center, clean rooms, pharmaceutical and other mission critical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver design work throughout design and build projects in collaboration with the project teams and take full accountability for the design of mechanical services for data centers and other mission critical projects.
- Undertake design reviews and appraisals and provide technical advice/assistance to the projects teams.
- Guide and develop design team members and act as a mentor to assist the development of the team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Take responsibility for checking calculations and provide monthly design progress reports in each projects reporting on technical risks and opportunities.
- Provide design/technical assessment support of tenders and delivery high quality design solutions that address contractual obligations and mitigating technical risk.
- Be the senior engineer on projects and lead regular design meetings with the project team.
- Provide engineering support to maintain technical audit trail through design, procurement, installation and commissioning stages.
- Successful delivery projects with high quality design completed on time and within budget.
- Delivery of design in line with health and safety requirements
