Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns only. Residential option on Groote Eylandt considered.
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the governance systems and processes to ensure Mechanical Engineering standards are consistently applied across operations.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT AREN’T LIMITED TO:

  • Develop and maintain governance systems and processes to ensure mechanical engineering standards, specifications, and procedures are consistently upheld across operations.
  • Deliver expert mechanical design support for equipment, systems, and processes, covering both existing infrastructure and new projects.
  • Apply a thorough understanding of Australian Standards to ensure compliance and effective governance within the GEMCO operation.
  • Oversee and maintain the classified plant register, ensuring accurate tracking of plant, equipment, and infrastructure across GEMCO operations.
