- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and 8 years of relevant experience OR Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.

Are you ready for a pivotal role in advancing testing capabilities and ensuring that all systems function seamlessly?
As a Principal Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and execution of automated electro-mechanical test platforms using LabVIEW software. This includes creating Virtual Instrument (VI) programs to automate the test processes and log data results. Your expertise will also be essential in troubleshooting existing test platforms and addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, hands-on capability, and strong coordination skills. The Principal Test Engineer will play a crucial part in developing reliable test platforms, ensuring their effective operation, and contributing to the overall success of testing programs in a demanding yet rewarding environment.
This role is Onsite and is not eligible for relocation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Design and develop automated electro-mechanical test platforms using LabVIEW.
Create and maintain VI programs for process automation and data logging.
Diagnose and resolve issues with existing test platforms.
Ensure test lab computers are well-maintained and liaise with the IT department for unresolved issues.
Design electrical schematics for test fixtures.
Document test procedures, results, and system configurations accurately.
Perform static, abuse, and cycle testing on airplane water and waste vacuum systems.
Operate in a production and test environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Assist technicians with test setups and ensure tests are completed on time.
Coordinate activities to align with shifting priorities and due dates.
Serve as a knowledge resource for specific program test requirements.
