REQUIREMENTS:

• 15+ years of mining-technical experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant operational mining experience
• Proficiency in Mine Planning software (Geovia, Deswik, or Datamine preferred)
• Must be P.Eng. (or equivalent)
• Experience as a Qualified Person (CP) under JORC Or NI 63101
• Ability to lead technical teams with a practical approach to achieving technical excellence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at writing proposals, technical reports, and project correspondence
• Proven ability to generate chargeable work and build client relationships
• Consulting experience highly valued!
• Legal work entitlement within Australia

Mining Plus presents an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mining Consultant with a strong background in open-pit projects to help lead our engineering capabilities in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will manage projects across various commodities and geographies, working with clients ranging from emerging miners to major industry players. Your role will involve delivering top tier consulting services, collaborating with international experts, and leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are executed with excellence, on budget, and on schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Provide expert technical advice and oversight
• Conduct mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)
• Author and peer-review technical reports
• Mentor Consultants and oversee project contractors
• Drive business improvements and support business development activities
• Actively leverage and advocate for industry-leading technology and support implementation engagements (collaboration with our partner groups)
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
• Prepare proposals and contracts
