Description:

Job Title: Principal Performance Analyst
Role type: Permanent full-time
Location: Wellington
Salary range: $117,035 to $136,961 dependant on skills and experience

Responsibilities:

Fisheries New Zealand works to ensure that fisheries resources are managed to provide the greatest overall benefit to New Zealanders. Our focus is the sustainability of New Zealand’s wild fish stocks, aquaculture, and the wider aquatic environment, now and for future generations.
We have an opportunity within our Governance and Performance team for a person who can help drive our organisation to continuously improve its performance.
The purpose of this Principal Performance Analyst role is to plan, lead and deliver specific pieces of work; provide strong business and financial analysis and reporting; provide insights and advice on aspects of branch performance; in addition to mentoring and supporting staff in the team.
This is an opportune time to join us as we identify and deliver improvements to some of our processes. You’ll be involved in pulling together information by analysing data, speaking with a variety of subject matter experts across Fisheries New Zealand, working with the Fisheries New Zealand Leadership Team and on occasion engage with representatives of the fisheries industry. As such, this role requires significant internal stakeholder engagement.
You’ll have strategic oversight of the branch’s performance. You’ll think about ways of working which have not been considered before, with a view to improving the way we work, and how we deliver value to our stakeholders.
