Principal Pool - Elementary
The Principal role is a key leadership position which is responsible for the operation of our schools in a manner that promotes optimum student learning and fosters an inclusive and welcoming environment. As an ideal candidate, you:

AND HAVE THE REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NOTED BELOW:
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related area
Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Valid BC teaching certificate or eligibility for certification
Minimum of three (3) years of recent and exemplary service as a principal/vice principal, preferably in grades K-5 demonstrating knowledge and understanding of the unique needs and characteristics of students at the elementary school level
Experience leading programs and initiatives at the school and/or district level
Experience in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
Experience incorporating Indigenous education into learning activities for all students
Experience leading in a unionized public-school setting using the BC curriculum preferred
The salary range for this full-time position is $149,228 to $157,676 per annum. Initial placement within the range is based on related education and experience. Sooke School District offers a competitive benefits package and pension plan.
