Description:

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, committed, and experienced Clinical Psychologist with substantial experience and training in neuropsychology to deliver a neuropsychology service for Worthing Hospital Neuropsychology MDT within University Hospital Sussex (UHSx). The successful candidate will have skills in neuropsychology as applied to physical health, be able to demonstrate an ability to provide highly specialised neuropsychology services for people affected by neurological conditions, their carers and staff teams.
The post is part of the Clinical Health Specialty, one of four posts working with neurological conditions in Sussex and one of sixteen psychology posts working across county in partnership with acute and community providers.
The post is offered at 0.6wte; clinical work is undertaken on Tuesdays and Wednesdays on site at Worthing, with scope for remote working for administrative work. Support and a vibrant peer network is provided within Clinical Health Psychology, but this is a sole practitioner post and will suit a confident, autonomous clinician who is skilled in referral and caseload management.
To work as a member of the interdisciplinary team within Worthing Hospital Neuropsychology Services providing a high quality, specialist Neuropsychology service on a case-by-case basis to clients, their families, or carers. In addition, they will share psychological practice within the team through shared consultation, supervision, formulation, and training. Participation in systematic clinical governance and offering clinical supervision to trainees and more junior psychologists, counsellors and other staff will form part of their role.
In this role, you will be offering specialist neuropsychological assessment to support differential diagnosis and to inform rehabilitation and support plans. You will also be offering specialist neuropsychological interventions to support adjustment to diagnosis and cognition. You will see a range or neurological conditions within this role, as such, it provides an excellent opportunity for those developing their QiCN portfolio. Furthermore, QiCN supervision can be offered by the Consultant Neuropsychologist in CHP.
