Department Overview
The South Bay Delivery team is a new organization leading the creation and execution of breakthrough outcomes in serving the South Bay. Our scope requires leadership in bringing several internal and external pieces together to achieve ambitious net-zero goals. This work is highly cross-functional by nature and requires collaboration across PG&E and external parties as required to execute an ambitious goal to be net-zero by 2030 as a proof point in San Jose for PG&Es long-term decarbonization goals. The Principal Program Manager is responsible for leveraging a deep understanding of utility program management to provide support to the team across all efforts to catalyze and drive the reduction of emission in San Jose .
The Net Zero San Jose team will oversee the identification, assessment, prioritization, and reduction of emissions related to PG&E’s activities and products including building and transportation electrification, process optimization for carbon reduction, and customer enablement in residential, small business, commercial, and industrial markets.
Position Summary
PG&E is faced with the ambitious goal of meeting the city of San Jose’s 2030 climate vision. To be successful, the Principal Program Manager will partner with identified departments, partners, and industry organizations to drive cross-functional initiatives that reduce both PG&E’s and the City of San Jose’s carbon emissions. The results of which are ambitious and aspirational goals that have the potential for impactful solutions on a much larger scale. Responsibilities will include working with internal and external parties to support the portfolio of activities under development and implementation as well as the Net-Zero team’s program management and reporting.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office, San Jose, and Oakland, CA work location based on business needs.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. ​
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
