Description:

Verus Researchis searching for aPrincipal Pulsed Power Engineerto participate in research and development efforts across multiple technical areas, including high-current pulsed power machines, nuclear technologies, high-vacuum systems, and complex system integration efforts.
ThePrincipal Pulsed Power Engineerwill be required to participate in (and eventually lead) the synthesis of Pulsed Power solutions for advanced nuclear technologies. The candidate is also expected to work collaboratively with teams of engineers and scientists to achieve integrated outcomes for system development. Success in this demanding role will stem from:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • 10+ years of experience working in relevant technical areas in a Department of Defense research or production environment
  • Masters degree in Pulsed Power Electrical Engineering or Physics
  • CAD experience with SolidWorks experience required
  • Experience in the following engineering analysis processes highly desired:
  • Evaluation of test plans and test results for simulation benchmarking
  • Integration of designed hardware in laboratory facilities
  • Verification and Validation of deliverables to requirements

Salary: $140,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
