Job Summary
This Research Chef supports key food service accounts that seamlessly integrates culinary expertise with strong commercial understanding to lead creativity, innovation, and best in class support. This Chef is the primary culinary liaison for strategic IFF accounts to ensure timely project execution to drive growth. This position contributes to an innovative culture to execute strategic initiatives and build relationships both internally and externally.

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Primary culinary liaison to IFF key food service accounts to deliver best in class customer support.
  • Develops strong relationships with accounts research chefs.
  • Complete understanding for the IFF Culinary program and effectively leverages its global reach.
  • Leverages technical resources to drive growth via customer engagement, collaboration with Flavorists and Seasoning Flavorists and Scientists.
  • Demonstrates deep passion for full product design, creativity, science, collaboration, and networking with cross-functional teams.
  • Identifies flavor repositories gaps and addresses market driven needs with appropriate expertise or resource.
  • Shares knowledge of food and teach colleagues understanding of cooking fundamentals.
  • Mentors individuals with capacity for increased responsibility by motivating and preparing them for key project roles and supporting career development.
  • Successfully demonstrates regional implementation of new technology in appropriate projects.
  • Demonstrates consistent technical and commercial success year after year.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience (Min Requirement): Minimum 10 years working experience in restaurants / hospitality / Manufacturing and 10 years in the specific field of expertise. 10 years’ exposure to interdepartmental cross-functional team roles. Experience as a Corporate Chef is preferred.
  • Academic Qualifications/Background: Minimum entry level is a University/College Degree in Culinary Arts and/or Food Science
  • Communication: Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Travel: Travel may be required up to 40% of the time.
