A Day in the Life
Medtronic Diabetes is focused on transforming diabetes care for better freedom and great health, serving patients across the continuum of diabetes. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Robust and in-depth knowledge of Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Python.
• Able to develop enterprise-grade applications using Java and J2EE components, delivering SOA components for Java (REST and SOAP) web services and web applications.
• Good knowledge on Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD).
• Understanding of Cloud Technologies like AWS S3, AWS ECS, AWS DynamoDB, API Gateway, Elastic Cache, AmazonMQ
• Proficiency with relational database technologies.
• Knowledge of Single Sign On (SSO). Experience with integrating with Okta, Azure etc.
• SDLC and Agile Tools to include Jira.
• Knowledge and experience in REST API development, Microservices using Spring boot.
• Automation tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Swagger API, Docker
• Understanding of writing unit test cases using unit test frameworks like Junit.
• Configuration tools and best practices to include GIT, Bitbucket.
• Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Good communication skills - verbal as well written.
• Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop and maintain web-based business applications. Comfortable in working with remote teams.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or similar field with 5 years of experience.

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of FDA regulations including (ISO) 13485.
• Exposure to medical device compliance standards (such as ISO13485/IEC62304/HIPAA/FDA/Security Standards/Data Privacy).

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$143,200.00 - $214,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
