Location: Remote – Canada
At GoDaddy, the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days), and some work entirely remotely.
This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites.
YOUR EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE…
- 7+ years of experience in full-stack development.
- Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure with AWS, ECS, and containerization.
- Experience using tools such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, and CloudFormation to automate, standardize, and abstract the creation of cloud resources from development teams.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript (FE), and ReactJS.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (such as GitHub Actions) and automation processes.
- Capability to effectively debug and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Demonstrated ability to drive technical initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with a passion for teaching and assisting others in learning.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a bias for action.
- A continuous learning mindset with a strong sense of creativity.
- Ability to thrive in a self-motivated, fast-paced environment where experimentation and failure are encouraged.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using IAC principles.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Work with AWS to optimize performance, cost, and security of our cloud environments.
- Manage resources, monitor usage, and implement best practices.
- Own identified platform issues, research root causes, and implement resolution strategies.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional peers, including Product Managers, Designers, and Technical Writers, to facilitate significant organizational impact.
- Actively contribute to the ideation and planning of future product directions.
- Mentor team members and expand the organization’s engineering knowledge.
- Advocate for engineering standards improvement through code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
