PRINCIPAL ENGINEER | SERVERLESS | AWS | C#.NET
Location: Hybrid, Sydney
This is an opportunity for an AI and data analytics business who are are seeking an experienced and adaptable Principal Software Engineer to lead a modernisation and transformation of the companies products. They are transforming their core product offering into the cloud with AWS.
As a Principal Engineer, you will combine technical expertise with leadership skills to set the technical and architectural direction for the team. Working with leadership you will play a key role in transitioning the company to a scalable offering in an agile setting.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation projects.
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and the broader AWS ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, such as cloud-native, microservices, serverless computing, and containerisation.
- Proficiency in a range of programming languages, preferably C#.net and Microsoft technologies.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to problem solve.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the company transitioning into a modern stack and architecture.
- Design and implement solutions using AWS cloud services, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
- Set technical direction and drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, including microservices, serverless, microservices and containerisation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, mentor junior engineers.
