Description:
Job title: Principal Software Integration Engineer

Salary: Up to £ 60,000 (depending on skills and experience)
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Essential:
- An experienced systems engineer, preferably with a strong software engineering background. You’ll have experience with many of the following:
- Integration and delivery of complex systems
- Software development and integration experience
- System experience – COTS hardware technology, Windows, VMWare
Desirable:
- Experience within a Naval Combat Systems Development Environment across multiple lifecycle phases
Applicants should ideally be Degree qualified or have equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline. Applicants should be a Chartered Engineer or hold another equivalent professional registration with a relevant institution.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out the technical aspects of SI Infrastructure Integration activities through the application of engineering processes and be involved with the hands-on SI integration and build processes.
- Managing defects and ensuring progression to fix/closure
- Ability to lead and develop more junior team members
- Managing system configurations, reviewing and approving updates from other team members
- Assist in development of in-house tools to support integration activities
