Job Description
The Principal Solution Architect, Security, role carries the responsibility of creating and implementing advanced security solutions aligned with the organization’s business objectives. This entails a deep understanding of security architectures, current threats, and emerging technologies to safeguard the company’s digital assets and data. The position involves serving as a subject matter expert in security architecture, collaborating with stakeholders, providing technical leadership to teams in adopting secure practices, and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-wide security architectures to reduce organizational risk.
Moreover, the Principal Solution Architect, Security, plays an instrumental role in mentoring and providing guidance to junior security architects and engineers, participating in selecting security products and vendors, and presenting security strategies to executive leadership. This role requires staying updated on emerging security trends and technologies, reflecting a commitment to continuous learning and growth to address evolving security challenges effectively.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in similar role as a security solutions architect
- Deep knowledge of security principles, best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS)
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, identity and access management, and data protection technologies
- Experience with security frameworks and methodologies such as SABSA, TOGAF, or CISSP
- Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale security solutions in highly secure environments.
- AWS or Azure technical design expertise and hands-on capability to build solutions.
- Thought leader on technology best-practice and strategy, including how technology influences business value realisation
- Consulting practitioner with strong influencing skills at all levels of stakeholders
- The ability to build strong client relationships and deliver client-centric solutions
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager).
- TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).
- Cloud security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
