SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a Principal Strategy Consultant with extensive experience in digital transformation within the automotive sector to join our global growth team.
Here are some things we’d expect of a strong candidate:
- 10+ years of experience in advising and leading client engagements in the automotive sector, with a focus on digital transformation
- Proven track record in business development and driving sales activities for automotive-related consulting and digital transformation services
- Deep domain knowledge of the automotive industry, including trends in electric vehicles, autonomous driving, connected cars, and mobility services
- Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies for various types of automotive companies, including OEMs, suppliers, and new mobility players
- Strong understanding of how digital technologies can address key challenges in the automotive sector
- Working knowledge of data analytics, AI, and Generative AI applications in the automotive industry
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives in the automotive industry
- Experience in running and coaching multidisciplinary teams on complex automotive projects
- Fluent in German and English
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and their application in automotive manufacturing
- Knowledge of regulatory landscapes affecting the automotive industry, particularly regarding emissions, safety, and data privacy
- Experience with digital twin technology, IoT, and smart manufacturing in the context of automotive production

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will leverage our expertise and reputation to expand our reach in the global automotive sector. You will advise and lead client engagements, driving company sales activities focusing on automotive-related digital and data transformation projects. Your days will be dynamic, consisting of business development and proactive sales work for existing and new automotive clients. You’ll oversee complex projects that address the unique challenges of the automotive industry, from connected vehicle platforms to smart manufacturing implementations and new mobility solutions.
It is crucial to take holistic responsibility for the health and well-being of our automotive clients. You’ll need to understand their evolving needs in a rapidly changing mobility landscape, helping them navigate the challenges of electrification, autonomous driving, connectivity, and shared mobility services. Your role will be pivotal in establishing Futurice as a go-to partner for digital transformation in the international automotive market.
As a key team member, we expect you to understand the automotive sector’s digital landscape and what it takes to build transformative solutions for demanding automotive clients. Experience in leading complex automotive-related projects is essential, either as a project lead or in a strategic advisory capacity.

Your location can be anywhere in Germany and you can work remote-first basis, meaning you can work from the comfort of your own home, occasionally visit the office, and travel on-site to client locations as needed. While we are open for candidates based in the UK, it is important that they possess fluent German language skills and have a strong network in the German auto sector.
