Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our dynamic team and take on the role of Principal Systemic Family Psychotherapist. The role involves being the Deputy Therapies Lead at Lavender Walk and the Tier 4 lead Family Therapist. You will have a fantastic opportunity to continue the development of systemic thinking and practice. This post has become available due to the previous therapist being promoted to a Consultant role.
We are a 12 bed General Adolescent Unit (GAU) that cares for young people between the ages of 13-18 years old, with complex mental health needs and emotional difficulties. We serve young people from Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham and Hounslow. Lavender Walk is a busy and friendly service which welcomes new skills and new ideas.
The team is made up of two Consultant Psychiatrists (one of which is the Clinical Lead), Consultant Clinical Psychologist (Therapies Lead), Matron (Clinical Unit Manager), Ward Manager, Qualified Nurses, Nurse Associates, Health Care Assistants, Speciality Doctors, Junior Doctors, Occupational Therapist, Art Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Dietician, Clinical Psychologists, Systemic Family Psychotherapist, Social Worker and Teaching staff. We also regularly have students and trainees from the above professional disciplines joining the team.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is enthusiastic, forward thinking, and adaptable to work within our well established and welcoming multi-disciplinary team. The post-holder will be part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) influencing and supporting the service development and growth. The post-holder will lead on ensuring the provision of highly specialist systemic interventions, formulation and practice. The post-holder will provide line management and clinical supervision to specific members of the Lavender Walk therapy team and deputise for the Therapies Lead in their absence.
The post-holder will have strong links with Systemic Family Psychotherapist colleagues within the CNWL service line and will provide clinical supervision for Systemic Family Psychotherapists in CNWL’s Tier 4 CAMHS pathway.
