Description:

PRINCIPAL WILLS AND ESTATE PLANNING CONSULTANT (WOLLONGONG) – NSW TRUSTEE AND GUARDIAN

  • Temporary full-time vacancy up to 28 August 2025 (with possibility of extension). 35 hours per week.
  • Location: Wollongong, NSW
  • Clerk Grade: 7/8 Base salary $110,266 p.a. to $122,058 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel across NSW as required.
  • Willingness to obtain accreditation in Will making, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship documents. Training and accreditation is provided by NSW Trustee and Guardian.
  • Willingness to have phone calls and team email accounts monitored for quality assurance and training purposes, and to participate in one-to-one review sessions for calls and emails.
  • Available to work after hours and weekends as required and in particular circumstances.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role is responsible for effectively leading a high performing regional team to deliver professional, high quality and timely Wills and Estate Planning services to the NSW community. The role is responsible for managing the teams’ performance, ensuring services meet the needs of customers, there is growth in our market share and the services that are delivered are financially sustainable.
This includes the delivery of services that align to NSW Trustee and Guardian’s Customer Excellence Principals and working with key partners to support the increased delivery of professional planning ahead services across NSW.

Day-to-day, this is an exciting opportunity that will see you:

  • Undertaking drafting, preparing and executing pre-planning instruments to a high standard.
  • Act as first point of contact for difficult matters, and ensure that significant complaints or unresolved matters are referred to the Regional Manager to in a timely manner, and that client needs are met and the reputation of NSWTG is maintained and enhanced.
  • Allocating resources and work to staff of the Wollongong Branch to ensure high staff performance, a customer focused culture and a professional, efficient and effective working environment.

The Estate Planning & Administration division is responsible for delivering NSW Trustee & Guardian’s commercial services in Will making, as trustee, attorney, and as administrator/executor of deceased estates. The teams administer assets in accordance with the functions and obligations under the relevant legislation and makes legal decisions within legal frameworks and NSWTG’s prescribed delegations. The division delivers high quality service using a customer-centred approach and is delivered by:

  • Estate Administration
  • Trust and Powers of Attorney Administration
  • Intestate, Life Estates and Crime Confiscation/Civil Forfeiture administration
  • Wills and Estate Plannin
