Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Privacy Advisor (GDPR) to sit within our European Information Security Team. This highly collaborative role will support across our European markets but work closely with internal departments in both Germany and Poland as well as Global and Regional Information Security Officers.
This role will report into the Data Privacy Manager and be based in our offices in Berlin, Germany
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in compliance, privacy, GDPR or related fields with knowledge and insight into data privacy laws and practices. We’re also seeking someone with great communication skills to deliver training and support to wider teams.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting data privacy programs of the Fast Retailing Group, led by Data Protection Officer (DPO).
  • Acting as the point of contact of business departments, support functions and management on privacy matters.
  • Educating and training employees on privacy compliance responsibilities and obligations.
  • Identifying, raising and addressing risk areas of privacy in internal operations and projects.
  • Manage privacy related incidents.
  • Assisting Data Protection Coordinators to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) on new systems, applications, workflows and third-party engagements etc. Review and follow up of resulting recommended action plans.
  • Implement actions to ensure compliance with relevant information management and protection laws.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • More than 2 years experience in compliance, privacy or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of data privacy laws and practices.
  • Ability to reflect legal requirements to activities/operational procedures
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written Spanish and English is essential, Italian is desirable.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion.
  • Strong capabilities on reporting activities.
  • Cyber security technical background.
  • Experience within the retail industry.
  • Understanding and ability of risk analysis for cyber threats.
  • Appropriate privacy and technical and/or security certifications preferred. (e.g. CIPP/E, CISA, CISM, CISSP, SANS, GIAC, etc.)
