The Manager Privacy Compliance is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of leading enterprise privacy compliance frameworks and for providing high quality privacy advice to the AGL business. You will engage and develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the enterprise, whilst influencing and assisting the business to integrate best practice approaches to governance, risk and compliance management in so far as they relate to privacy.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Group Compliance & Privacy Officer, you will:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of AGL’s Privacy Policy, frameworks, standards, and practices to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist business units in integrating AGL’s Privacy framework into their operations and provide guidance on managing privacy risks effectively.
- Monitor adherence to AGL’s Privacy Policy, conduct privacy impact assessments, and recommend improvements or corrective actions.
- Advise business stakeholders on secure data handling, sharing, and storage practices to mitigate privacy risks.
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance Data and Information Governance Frameworks, embedding privacy management practices where appropriate.
- Develop and deliver privacy compliance training, awareness programs, and incident management protocols, including the management of notifiable data breach processes.
About You
What you’ll bring to the table
- Extensive experience in the practical application and development of Privacy compliance frameworks and practices in large, complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, assurance, privacy, data and related legislation
- Experience working with and presenting to all levels of an organisation, including the Executive level
- Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to deliver, drive positive outcomes, and bring about change within a large, diverse organisation
- Energy experience or exposure to highly regulated environment would be highly regarded.
