The Opportunity
This role requires a talented, and proactive individual with a passion for creating content, and for technology and business processes to join our Privacy Knowledge Team at TrustArc, the leading provider of integrated privacy solutions. You will be part of a creative, energetic, fast-paced team that focuses on helping our customers address challenges around understanding global privacy and cybersecurity laws, regulations, and frameworks, and how these apply to their organization and the actions they need to take in a meaningful and scalable way.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing content across the TrustArc Platform that helps our customers assess their readiness to comply with privacy laws and external standards that are likely applicable to their organization and to identify relevant risks. You will report to Sr. Manager, Privacy Knowledge Research and will help deliver our content-based solutions, working collaboratively with other members of the Privacy Knowledge and Legal teams, and other TrustArc departments.
The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical skills with the ability to read, interpret and analyze complex subject matter spanning many disciplines, industries and jurisdictions. With sound critical reasoning skills and the ability to concisely articulate knowledge, the ideal candidate has a passion to continuously learn and remain proactive, often with ambiguity, in an ever evolving and changing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting privacy laws, regulations, regulatory frameworks and other external standards and integrating them into the company’s privacy platform solutions;
- Researching, analyzing and producing summaries of daily regulator activity following an established methodology;
- Analyzing privacy and data protection laws for their application and relevance to business processes;
- Supporting the Sr. Manager, Privacy Knowledge Research and Privacy Knowledge Principal on suggesting content development process improvements and new features, maintaining content development documentation, and conducting user acceptance testing on soon-to-be released developments;
- Supporting the Legal team and other stakeholders with understanding how privacy law requirements impact TrustArc’s platform solutions and privacy program;
- Working with Marketing on communications and webinars regarding privacy developments and how TrustArc platform content supports our customers in building out their privacy programs; and
- Working with customer-facing teams to support customer implementation and retention efforts, building out new assurance programs and other solutions, and supporting cross functional initiatives.
