Private Client Lawyer (Trusts Specialist)

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?

You must be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 3 yrs PQE in Private Client. You must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the operation of trusts and exposure to estate tax planning would also be welcome. We will consider candidates who have less trust experience but solid Private Client experience who can show why they would like to further progress their career and specialise into this area.
Ideally candidates will be STEP qualified or have aspirations to become STEP qualified and H&H would support candidates in their qualifications (if not already STEP qualified).
The role is succession planning for a senior solicitor who is retiring so if required we can offer support and training to the right candidate. The successful candidate will work alongside that solicitor to deal with handover of responsibilities.

We are currently recruiting for a Private Client lawyer who has a good understanding of the operation of trusts and wanting to specialise into this area of Private Client law.
Holmes & Hills has many longstanding high net worth clients who require assistance in the administration of their family trusts (Will trusts and lifetime trusts). In many cases the partners of H&H are the trustees. We are also asked to advise on the creation of trusts and have very many fixed fee appointments where new clients are seeking ad hoc advice on trust law and the structuring of these arrangements for trustees and beneficiaries with asset protection and tax planning in mind. This is a busy full time case load.
