Job Description
The LGT Capital Partners Private Markets Analyst Program is a unique opportunity for recent graduates to launch an exciting career with a leading alternative investment specialist focused on private markets.
The Analyst Program is structured as a 2-year full-time employment with the opportunity for outstanding candidates to continue their career at LGT Capital Partners as an Associate. The position is located in Switzerland (near Zurich). The anticipated start date is 1 July 2025 and the Program starts with a 3-weeks tailored training module and includes continuous on-the-job training.
The dedicated LGT Capital Partners Infrastructure team based across three investment offices in key geographies is fully integrated into the broader LGT Capital Partners Private Equity practice. The Infrastructure strategy invests across primaries, secondaries (LP and GP-led opportunities), and co-investments, building diversified portfolios of higher returning Value Add and Core Plus infrastructure businesses with strong barriers to entry that deliver attractive risk-adjusted and inflation-linked returns. The strategy invests globally, with a focus on Europe and North America.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, which originates, assesses, executes and monitors infrastructure funds through the primary and secondary markets as well as co-investment transactions globally. This is an opportunity to join the team at a relatively early stage in its lifecycle and contribute to the long-term success of the strategy.

The Analyst joining the Infrastructure team will focus on developing the following core investment skills:

  • financial modeling;
  • quantitative and qualitative analysis of various infrastructure funds and direct co-investments;
  • investment appraisal of underlying portfolio companies and infrastructure projects in various sectors including transportation, renewable energy, water, telecom, regulated utilities;
  • credit and risk analysis;
  • negotiation, structuring and agreeing documents and terms;
  • project management from initial due diligence to final completion of transactions.

The position also includes other responsibilities associated with the investment process:

  • participation and preparation for weekly team meetings and bi-weekly Investment Committee meetings;
  • management and update of key databases and document management critical for identifying potential opportunities;
  • monitoring of existing investments;
  • preparation of materials used in internal meetings and external client presentations;
  • research on trends/competitors in the global infrastructure market;
  • ad-hoc market analysis;
  • interaction with other parts of the firm including tax structuring, legal, compliance and marketing.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in business, economics, finance, accounting or similar subject;
  • Prior work experience with an infrastructure or private equity investment manager, pension fund, investment banking, or consulting will be considered favorably;
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills, including personal or professional experience in an English-speaking environment; familiarity with another language is preferred;
  • Self-starter personality, highly motivated with an international mindset;
  • Willingness to learn technical skills;
  • Good organizational skills.
