Are you passionate about guiding individuals through their recovery journey from substance use disorders? We’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis 15 - 25 hours per week and the ability to be on-call.
ABOUT US:
Ascension Recovery Services is partnering with a client in Columbus Indiana to assist individuals on their path to recovery from substance use disorders and related mental health challenges. Our first location in Columbus, Indiana is slated to open in Q4 2024.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in nursing required.
- Valid Professional License/Certification for the state in which duties are performed.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) preferred.
- Data Waiver (must be completed before date of hire).
- 2+ years of experience in substance use disorder or behavioral health preferred.
- Eligible for DEA license.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medication administration and practice.
- Competency in behavioral health and addiction treatment.
- Must have or be able to obtain current First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of clients.
- Prescribe and administer medications in collaboration with the supervising physician.
- Supervise nursing staff on dispensing operations as needed.
- Complete medical records and reports and provide necessary referrals to medical services and primary care providers.
- Coordinate patient care with the Primary Care Physician (PCP) or other physicians prescribing opiates or psychoactive medication.
- Participate in case planning and consultation with lead counselors, facility/executive directors, project directors, and medical directors as needed.
- Educate clients on treatment options and provide strength-based, empathetic care.
- Respond to emergency situations with appropriate evaluation and management (e.g., cardiac arrest, respiratory distress).
- Additional duties may include participating in clinical/medical committees, providing education, and conducting quality reviews.
