Process controls specialist
Johnson & Johnson is responsible for bringing innovative medicines to patients around the world. Within J&J, E&PS FM is responsible for managing the facilities and utilities at all sites. In Belgium the scope of E&PS FM includes the sites in Beerse, Geel, Olen, La Louvière, Courcelles and Ghent.
In Ghent J&J is operating CAR-T: chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy. This is a new and innovative approach to eliminate cancer cells. It works by harnessing the power of a patient’s own immune system. That power is created from the patients’ own T cells and is engineered to eliminate cancer cells expressing a specific antigen.
The Ghent E&PS FM team manages the critical installations and facilities and utilities (steam, cooling installations, heating equipment, water systems, compressed air, high voltage, …) of/for the Ghent manufacturing hubs. The main goal of the E&PS team in Ghent is to ensure that the building and building systems are available 24/7 in a safe and compliant manner for the occupants and their activities. To join, assist and support the team, the EP&S FM team in Ghent is recruiting another process controls specialist for the 2 production sites in Ghent and the future expansions. The position will be based in Ghent (Belgium), reporting into the facilities manager. Close collaboration with the E&PS FM team based in Beerse is required and useful.
1. Function - general:
Together with your fellow process controls specialists, (amongst many other things):
o you control the utilities, door interlocking and HVAC systems;
o you know the life safety systems (fire, gas, O2 detection) inside out and manage these systems;
o you perform and supervise improvement trajectories;
o you will work on alarm mgmt. reduction;
o you will also perform work preparation, with (special) work permits (LOTOTO, confined spaces, hot works, …) for works you supervise;
o as the automation expert you will do technical research and will perform queries;
o you will assist in root cause analyses in case of incidents and where assigned to you, you will follow up the roll-out of the action plan;
o you will become an expert in our installation management system (IMS);
o you will standardize your work in procedures and also provide input and assistance to others;
o you attend and participate in team meetings and participate in work planning sessions (shutdown preparations);
o you are the owner of specific shutdown activities: planning, coordination, follow-up, contractor mgmt.;
o you are the owner of specific projects (outside shutdown periods): mgmt. of change (MoC)/change control (CC) administration, engineering, coordination, follow-up, communication, …;
o you perform your work obeying and respecting all safety regulations and guidances;
o you will document your work rigorously according to the required GdP guidelines;
o you work closely with the entire E&PS FM CarT team. A fit in in this team is crucial for the operational effectiveness of this team;
o you work closely with all E&PS FM CarT stakeholders; and
o you are actively involved in the continuous improvement of processes and installations.

QUALIFICATIONS

o You hold an engineering degree or a technical bachelor’s degree, both coupled with some years of relevant experience in a technical position.
o You are experienced in Siemens TIA-portal or S7.
o Electrical and instrumentation knowledge is a prerequisite.
o You are innovative and have a pragmatic outlook.
o Analytical problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical issues.
o CMMS(SAP) knowledge will help you.
o Knowledge of energy and utilities, water systems and HVAC is an asset.
o Knowledge of GmP, as well as requirements around compliance is a plus.
o You work well with internal partners (EHS², quality, engineering, …) and external partners (contractors, sector organizations, …).
o You are flexible and results-oriented and can work independently to achieve certain objectives.
o You know how to deal with continuously meeting tight timelines. You are eager to learn, motivated and extremely stress resistant.
o You are willing to accept peak loads that manifest themselves in long days and long weeks and this several times per year (the shutdowns).
o You possess an outspoken ‘can do’ mentality.
o You take the initiative and, besides being an independent employee, you are a real team player who, together with colleagues, achieves results and contributes to a pleasant working atmosphere.
o You are highly communicative, both written and spoken.
o Besides having a perfect command of Dutch, you speak and write English fluently.
