About the role
Balfour Beatty has an amazing opportunity for a Process Coordination and Compliance Manager to join our amazing Major Projects team to work at our iconic Old Oak Common development in London.
HS2’s new c. £1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UK’s best-connected rail station once completed. Our Balfour Beatty VINCI SYTRA joint venture will be responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the station in Northwest London.
Upon completion, the new station will boast six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line. Old Oak Common will also provide high speed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland, and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. Incorporating passenger and retail facilities, the new station will provide an exceptional customer experience for both passengers and visitors to the station.
As a Process Coordination and Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in assisting the Interface Lead and the wider rail team, providing support for the HS2 works at OOC, assisting in finding management solutions to ensure conformance to the specification and the coordination to the delivery programme. The Coordination and Compliance manager will further devise solutions and share best practice and gain a commonality between all the works packages to protect the stakeholder’s physical railway assets and lineside furniture, and contribute to the overall planning and site delivery of the planned works.
What you’ll be doing
Other key responsibilities will be:
- Attend as required the AWRM (area weekly review) integration meeting.
- Attend as required T-35 planning meeting pre-DPPP.
- Carry out regular compliance checks to existing documentation.
- Manage the Site Access Controller.
- Engage with on-site teams coordinate possible clashes.
- Manage the BBVS AMP process.
- Produce a monthly dashboard alongside the track access manager.
Who we’re looking for
You will have the following:
- A very good working knowledge of the NR standards and will need an awareness of the LU standards.
- Knowledge of AC & DC electrical systems and how they work.
- A current PTS.
- An understanding of NR possession roles and responsibilities.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Knowledge of AMP process.
- A good knowledge of NR standards.
