  • A higher technical degree, major in Industrial, process or chemical engineering;
  • Chartered Engineer & 15+ years of relevant and successful experience in an environment with pharmaceutical engineering;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • Advanced time management and organisational skills;
  • Leadership skills, with a view to managing people for project safety, quality and delivery ;
  • It is important that you can participate in project engineering coordination activities;

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This is a key role, and we’re seeking an expert engineer with leadership capabilities and extensive experience in pharmaceutical/Bio engineering project delivery. A key skill/knowledge in process safety is mandatory.. Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you’ll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together. The role sits within our Advanced Process Manufacturing (APM) division, which is part of our Places Global Business Area. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leading the Process Design Team - Providing guidance and leadership to our design team (approx.. 30-35 individuals)
  • Set strategy and long-term requirements for skills and capabilities in the team.
  • Build competence & skills in line with future Service & Client requirements.
  • Foster and develop centers of excellence and technical expertise in the department.
  • Build pipeline of Technical leadership across department
  • Provide technical backup to the operations teams in resolving complex process/plant problems.
  • Project Management
  • Execute site master planning, concept designs and preliminary engineering phases as European Life Sciences process expert across multiple projects and offices in Mainland Europe;
  • Assist in development of group systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management;
  • Prepare and participate in project proposals, man-hour estimating and client presentations;
  • Participate in presentations at industry conferences and writing of papers in publications. Identify and research future industry trends.
  • Keep on top of technology and industry developments;
  • Support Business Development for client engagement at senior levels;
  • To develop, organise and control programmes to eliminate existing or potential process/engineering problems and deliver plant improvements; Standardization of Service & Best Practice
  • Working collaborative with collagues across the organisation to set the standard for service delivery including governance and assurance across the department using standardized process and best practice in the form of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Continuous refinement and optimization of process and delivery.
  • Ensure Compliance to standards processes and procedures across the department Automation & Digitalisation of Service
  • Develop and deploy automated solutions to repeatable processes which improve efficiency and lower our cost of delivery for Service Line
  • Oversee the continued development and deployment of service based digital tools aligned to Enterprise principles including alignment with innovation framework
  • Optimize use of GECs, digital tools and data for the service line digital propositions Service Excellence
  • Develop Services which are high quality, recognzied as the best through relentless focus on exceeding client expectations
  • Setting highest standards of quality, leading to client satisfaction and repeat business
  • Oversee the optimisation in ways of working, delivery models and evolve usage of the GEC
