SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree/work experience with specific expertise in at least one of the following: process conceptualization and flow sheeting, lab-scale and pilot unit operations, physical model design and selection
- Driven and self-motivated
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills
Strong skills in Aspen or equivalent flow sheeting software
- Experience in Technoeconomic analysis of current and novel processes
Responsibilities:
WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM
Process development involves multiple aspects associated with identifying a new process concept and developing it into a commercial application commensurate with the business strategy. New process concepts can include new active materials, new chemistry, new feed or product, or new unit operations/process configuration. The role of the process development engineer is to identify, evaluate and develop process configurations options and then determine the critical steps for establishing the commercial process readiness for the leading option. The process development engineer may also focus on execution of the scale-up of the technology utilizing tools such as advanced modeling, pilot plant experimentation and scaling data to reduce technical risks needed to ensure successful commercialization.
