Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent German and English is a must
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Process Engineering/Project Management in the FMCG industry
  • Minimum 4 year Bachelors/Honours Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or Industrial Chemistry required
  • Ability to generate PFD’s, PIDs perform process calculations like mass & energy balances
  • Modelling skills for plant layout, piping/mechanical design and detailing
  • Experience with multidisciplinary coordination including but not limited to civil, mechanical, electrical, control & automation, production
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Advanced time management, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project represents an advantage
  • Available for travel/business trips/relocation

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing the project deliverables to define process requirements
  • Development of PFDs, PIDS, equipment layouts
  • Confirming project design requirements with the client and other stakeholders
  • Design and manage the manufacturing processes to achieve the desired product characteristics, applying relevant design principles that help maximize safety and performance of the process line.
  • Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform process simulations and troubleshooting issues.
  • Creating appropriate piping, insulation, instrument & equipment specifications
  • Producing tender or RFQ documents as required by the project
  • Creating, verifying and validating all Material Take Off (MTOs).
  • Liaise with equipment, instrument and installation suppliers regarding specifications, design & delivery
  • Preparing and completing project plans
  • Proposing design improvements, implementing changes and performing quality assurance
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk assessments, FMEA, HAZOPS, Hazardous Ateas & LOPA
  • Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • On site commissioning of plant and equipment including mechanical completion verification, punch listing, cold & hot commissioning, performance acceptance testing (PAT) and final handover
