PROCESS ENGINEER

Bouygues Energies and Services are at the forefront of the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Biotech Environment and offer design, build and maintain solutions within these sectors.
We are recruiting a Process Engineer to join our technical department. The technical department work on projects to design and deliver Process solutions in critical environments e.g. cleanrooms, industrial plants and controlled high-tech manufacturing spaces. The Process Engineer will develop their skills during all stages of a project from design, construction, commissioning and validation.
This role is based in Didsbury, Manchester and will involve regular visits to sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with the design, analysis and optimisation of chemical processes to improve efficiency and ensure safety.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documents, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Be involved in client presentations and regular site visits.
  • Conduct process simulations and calculations to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Monitor and analyse process performance, using data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the commissioning and start-up of new processes or equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
  • Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role.
  • Have a keen interest in Automation, Industrial Digitalisation and Sustainability.
