REQUIREMENTS:

  • Honors Engineering Degree in Food, Process or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role
  • 5+ years proven work experience in a process engineering environment (experience in edible oils or food and beverage manufacturing would be highly advantageous)
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Experience in process simulation / design software such as the Aspen Engineering Suite or similar
  • Basic AutoCad skills
  • Excellent Report Writing and Presentation Skills
  • An excellent communicator and team player
  • Ability to prioritize given tasks.
  • An inquisitive nature to drill down into details and apply logical reasoning to problems to develop solutions

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyse, develop, configure and optimize existing industrial processes for a wide range of clients including agri-food, edible oils, materials, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
  • Develop design documentation to support the deployment of zero-cost control solutions and capital projects including detailed equipment specifications (heat exchangers, condensers, instrumentation, etc), control philosophies, installation scope of work documents and commissioning plans.
  • Develop handover documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Partake in Design Risk Assessments for the aforementioned including where appropriate HAZID and HAZOP analyses
  • Manage relationships with key client stakeholders and relevant subcontractors and equipment suppliers
  • Undertake data analysis and modeling using various process modeling software
  • Provide critical feedback and development input to our cutting edge Continuous Improvement software tool, Clarity
