REQUIREMENTS:
- Honors Engineering Degree in Food, Process or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role
- 5+ years proven work experience in a process engineering environment (experience in edible oils or food and beverage manufacturing would be highly advantageous)
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of process related standards
- Experience in process simulation / design software such as the Aspen Engineering Suite or similar
- Basic AutoCad skills
- Excellent Report Writing and Presentation Skills
- An excellent communicator and team player
- Ability to prioritize given tasks.
- An inquisitive nature to drill down into details and apply logical reasoning to problems to develop solutions
Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyse, develop, configure and optimize existing industrial processes for a wide range of clients including agri-food, edible oils, materials, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
- Develop design documentation to support the deployment of zero-cost control solutions and capital projects including detailed equipment specifications (heat exchangers, condensers, instrumentation, etc), control philosophies, installation scope of work documents and commissioning plans.
- Develop handover documentation and standard operating procedures
- Partake in Design Risk Assessments for the aforementioned including where appropriate HAZID and HAZOP analyses
- Manage relationships with key client stakeholders and relevant subcontractors and equipment suppliers
- Undertake data analysis and modeling using various process modeling software
- Provide critical feedback and development input to our cutting edge Continuous Improvement software tool, Clarity
