ABOUT THE COMPANY

Sappi in Maastricht/Geleen is a leading global provider of sustainable woodfibre products and solutions. It is focusing on dissolving wood pulp, specialties and packaging papers, graphic/printing papers as well as biomaterials. Within the biomaterial business, Sappi is seeking to build a new business on fibrillated cellulose under the brand name of Sappi Valida. Valida has multi functionalities in various applications with minimum impact on the environment. Valida makes everyday life more sustainable by replacing fossil chemicals with biomaterials. The business uses a market driven approach to develop sustainable products with iterative collaboration with global distributors and direct customers. Currently, base portfolios and first production capacities have been established and commercial activities in a diversity of market segments are ongoing. We are looking to further accelerate the commercialisation of the Sappi Valida businesses.
