ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Process Engineer at Etteplan you will be working on challenging projects in the hightech industry. You will be working on smart solutions for tooling, assembly machines or production lines, working in close collaboration with your colleagues from diverse engineering disciplines. The markets include semiconductor, datacommunication and (integrated) photonics, medtech, vision, and many others.
You are responsible for the analysis, design and verification of a robust assembly production process that can fulfill the needs or our customers. You have an in-depth understanding of the physical aspects in product (micro)assembly processes and the competences to define building blocks, to identify risks (and mitigations) and to define, design and execute test and validations for production process steps like positioning and joining products on a microscale, with specific expertise technologies in optics and/or adhesive bonding.
You will receive sufficient time for guidance and training, and due to our strong collaborative spirit you can always count on support and feedback.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Developing and improving assembly processes for customer products, including defining the process steps and conducting feasibility/capability studies.
- You will write requirements and (test) specifications, translating customer expectations and requirements into a robust process.
- Communicating with stakeholders like customers, sales, system architects, engineers and (project)managers
- Drawing up test plans, carrying out FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and carrying out test and validation activities to evaluate performance.
- Designing process specific applications/tools (for machine vision, calibration, alignment or other types) to execute processes on machines and for test and measurement purposes. Implementation where possible (in software with LabView, Matlab, C# or other related technology).
- Identify and manage risks in the production process and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support in service/aftercare, analyzing and solving issues with machines, systems and/or production lines at customer locations
