Description:
About the Role: We are looking for a Process Engineer (f/m/d) to join our assembly team. In this role, you will work with the production and project teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for innovative assemblies used by our international customers in demanding semiconductor and aerospace environments. The area of responsibility ranges from the identification of suitable cable assembly processes to the implementation of prototype status to validated and volume-compatible series production. With the results developed, you create the necessary documents and tools and help prepare employee training.
This position will be located at our facility in Pleinfeld, Bavaria, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Liaison for Product Specialists and Application Engineers during product development
- Partner with Production Leader and Manufacturing Specialist/Technician to identify equipment/process improvement needs
- Support derivative development efforts
- Troubleshoot product issues and drive root cause problem-solving and resolution
- Build own work instructions and/or product process sheet settings including owning of technical content and approval
- Provide product engineering input during product spec review process
- Own and drive continuous improvement in equipment/process stability and capability
- Troubleshoot equipment/process upsets and drive root cause problem-solving and resolution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant course (STEM subjects)
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
- Flexible team player with good communication skills
- Proactive and pragmatic way of doing things
- Independent, systematic and analytical way of working
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed engineering studies in the field of electrical engineering or mechatronics
- Professional experience in the field of cable, cable assembly or printed circuit board production
- Experience in electrical bonding like crimping or soldering
- Experience in Design of experiments
- Experience in Product Design
