Description:

H2 Energy Europe is a developer of large-scale green hydrogen ecosystems in Europe, majority owned by Trafigura. Our projects cover different parts of the green hydrogen value chain from production to distribution and consumption. Major green hydrogen production projects include a 1GW plant in Esbjerg, Denmark converting offshore wind power, and a 20MW plant in Milford Haven, South Wales. H2 Energy Europe is also rolling out a hydrogen filling station network with sites along major transport routes across Germany, Austria, and Denmark.

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our growing team in Esbjerg, Denmark.

DESIRED EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

In order to succeed in the role, we are looking for candidates with the following skills:

  • Relevant academic degree; Chemical Engineer (Process Engineer)
  • 5–8 years of prior experience as a Process Engineer
  • Solid Process simulation experience
  • Experience with process plant configuration, unit operations, H&MB
  • Experience with specification & cross discipline coordination
  • Familiarity with electrical systems/power plants is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, a structured and results-driven way of working
  • Motivation for building knowledge in the PtX domain
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborating with various stakeholders in a team environment
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to quickly gain trust and build solid working relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to communicate cross-culturally. Other languages would be a plus but are not essential

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key responsibilities include:

  • UNISIM model operation & custodian
  • Participation in general process engineering activities, herein equipment sizing, overpressure protection and control.
  • Participate in supervision of subcontractor work, review, and definition
  • Ad Hoc tasks from internal parties
  • HAZID, HAZOP and verification comment close out
