Description:

Overview:
Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with oil refining, gas processing, ammonia, or chemical plant experience to join our growing Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing Team at our Tulsa, OK or Greenwood Village, CO offices.
The Process Engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers, managing and executing all aspects of process design on multiple client projects.
Typical annual pay range for this position is $105,000.00 - $130,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs.
  • Prepare process design deliverables including:
  • Process Flow Diagrams
  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Orifice and equipment sizing calculations
  • Process line sizing calculations
  • Equipment and Instrument datasheets
  • Execute vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
  • Perform process tasks autonomously (e.g. calculations, report writing, options study).
  • Review and check the work of other process engineers to determine accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordination of design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Aspen Hysys, AspenPlus, AFT Arrow and Fathom, MathCAD, AutoCAD.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License.
