Description:
Overview:
Merrick & Company is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with oil refining, gas processing, ammonia, or chemical plant experience to join our growing Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing Team at our Tulsa, OK or Greenwood Village, CO offices.
The Process Engineer will work on a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers, managing and executing all aspects of process design on multiple client projects.
Typical annual pay range for this position is $105,000.00 - $130,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs.
- Prepare process design deliverables including:
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
- Orifice and equipment sizing calculations
- Process line sizing calculations
- Equipment and Instrument datasheets
- Execute vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
- Perform process tasks autonomously (e.g. calculations, report writing, options study).
- Review and check the work of other process engineers to determine accuracy and completeness.
- Coordination of design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience and/or training.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Aspen Hysys, AspenPlus, AFT Arrow and Fathom, MathCAD, AutoCAD.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.
