POSITION OVERVIEW:

Startec Compression and Process is currently recruiting a Process Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) to work at our Glenmore Office location (Suite 240, 4000 Glenmore Court SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 5R8). The Process E.I.T. is a developmental role focused on gaining hands-on experience in process engineering for facility design and operations. The EIT will support process design and optimization, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and apply engineering principles in data analysis and research. This role aims to develop practical skills and exposure to facility processes, ultimately preparing the individual to become a proficient Process Engineer in facilities engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) preferred.
  • Familiar with process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements.
