Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to join our Engineering team. This person must embrace change, be self-motivated, and inspire others inside and outside the department. The individual should be able to communicate directly and openly with all levels in our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists/leads with improvement initiatives around tooling and parts inventory.
  • Assists with applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new industrial uses.
  • Participates in activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • Assists with operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.
  • Assist with the creation of functional specifications to conform to production and manufacturing requirements.
  • Uses CAD design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure Operator training and proficiency after training in the tooling area.
  • Work with Subject-Matter-Experts in tooling and drawing to ensure proper tool care and maintenance is ongoing. Drive continuous improvement on existing tooling processes.
  • Can source or perform back rod, die and mandrel repairs as is necessary to maintain inventories.
  • Communicates and interfaces with all levels of the manufacturing sector to coordinate projects, achieve goals and conform to production requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
