REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency and quality while reducing silica dust and emissions.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in existing processes to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding silica dust and emissions.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Participate on product and new process development teams, making recommendations of new control methods and technologies.
  • Recommend manufacturing concepts while developing and implementing suitable manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with identifying equipment allocations and unique tooling required for new product implementation.
  • Responsible for implementing and coordinating revisions and improvements to tooling according to customer or product specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance teams to implement process changes and improvements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other teams as needed.
  • Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team including engineering, production, and environmental health and safety (EHS).
  • Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.
  • Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
