Equinox Engineering Ltd. is a leading EPCM firm headquartered in Calgary, specializing in delivering comprehensive services in facilities design, implementation, and operational support of natural gas, conventional / heavy oil, and new energy projects. Our clientele includes major energy producers within Canada and Internationally.
Reporting to the SAGD / Heavy Oil Process Team Lead and Process Engineering Department Manager, the Equinox Process Engineering Department is looking for an Intermediate Process Engineer to help support the SAGD / Heavy Oil PMPE team and client requirements on active and future projects.

DELIVER PROCESS ENGINEERING REQUIREMENTS.

feasibility and conceptual design studies
pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering design
start-up and Commissioning support
Perform process simulations.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Broad Process Engineering exposure for SAGD / Heavy Oil design and construction related to brownfield and greenfield:

  • SAGD well pads and Central Processing Facilities (CPF) design
  • above ground gathering / supporting pipelines for SAGD and Heavy Oil systems
  • Possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to interact professionally with internal shareholders and clients.
  • Work well within a fast pace, team environment of varied skills and experience.
  • Prepare clear and concise Process Engineering technical reports / documentation.
  • Client focused, driving high-quality deliverables that solve customer problems.
  • Proficient with HYSYS and other related simulation software (PipeSim, UniSim, etc.)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a current registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA in the Province of Alberta
  • Professional Engineering status in other jurisdictions is an asset.
  • Chemical Engineering or similarity related Engineering degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years oil and gas experience (preferably with an EPCM background).
  • Understanding of applicable Canadian Codes and Standards.
