Job Description

READY TO PUSH THE LIMITS OF WHAT’S POSSIBLE?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Degree educated (MEng or MSc) or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Water related modules would be an advantage
  • Relevant work experience would be an advantage
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
  • Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial.
  • Willing and able to work towards professional qualifications such as ICE & CIWEM
  • Demonstrable interest in water projects
  • Capability to satisfy client and business expectations and be able to consider the wider financial and commercial implications of their actions.
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing.
  • Structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team as a whole.
  • Ability to work independently without losing initiative & focus

Additional Information

Responsibilities:

  • An ambition to work towards Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or CIWEM.
  • Excellent report writing, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel to meet the needs of specific projects is desirable.
  • Analytical and problem solving, attention to detail and creative thinking.
  • Experience in design and build projects would be advantageous although not essential.
  • Comfortable in the use of Microsoft office suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and 3D design models such as Revit would be an advantage.
  • Some level of commercial awareness, along with a willingness to learn.
  • An ability to take direction and guidance, aligned with a positive attitude.
  • An interest in municipal water and wastewater treatment, along with the associated unit processes and relevant design standards.
  • A keen interest in functional safety (HAZOP studies)
